Top landscaping trends

The way we as Australians interact with our backyards has changed over time. As block sizes become smaller, people are becoming more conscious of making use of the space they have, leading to well-designed alfresco areas that are great for entertaining and relaxing.

That’s why, when we build your home, we don’t stop at your back door. We take the time to consider the outdoors to make sure that you can enjoy a fantastic lifestyle both indoors and out.

Here are some of the ways our clients are making the most of their outdoor spaces:

Patio

There was a time when any cement slab scattered with chairs was considered a patio. Now we design homes that seamlessly connect the indoors to the alfresco area, complete with electricity and plumbing included. We also orient the home so that people can enjoy the best of the sun during winter, whilst taking shade during summer.

Outdoor kitchen

In the same way that patios have evolved, so too has the outdoor kitchen– from being a simple BBQ filled with charcoal, to a completely functional kitchen complete with a sink, fridge and even a wood-fire oven. Equipped to entertain family and friends, there are a variety of appliances designed specifically to withstand Australia’s harshest conditions.

Fire Pit

Living in a cooler climate, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your outdoor space all year round. Many clients are opting for built-in fire pits to entertain guests on frosty nights. Add in built-in benches and paving, and you have yourself an inviting and intimate space that you’ll be sure to use throughout all seasons.

Reflection Pond

With its serene surface, a reflection pond instantly exudes a tranquil and luxurious feel to any home. Most often, our clients have opted for a customised rectangular pond that you can walk across, but there are countless ways a reflection pond can create interest to your garden or entryway.
