3D

Decorative 3D wall tiles are both playful and dramatic, manipulating light and shadow throughout the day to create a standout impact and add a feeling of depth and dimension to your space. They come in a huge variety of materials, patterns, shapes and textures, from bold geometric shapes to intricately carved patterns, and are a fantastic way to completely transform the look of your bathroom.

Glass Mosaic

Glass tiles deliver a luxurious, luminous quality and are available in a broad palette of colours with a number of effects including metallic and mirror sheens. They’re perfect for creating space and depth in a small bathroom, can be used for decorative effects in large or small expanses and generate a dramatic feel when integrated with clever lighting.

Large format

Due to a trend towards minimalist styling and a general dislike of grout lines, large format wall tiles in sizes up to 100 x 300cms are increasing in popularity. Apart from the fact that they require less grout lines, if they are rectified, which means the edges have been machined to be straight and flat, they can be set with very tight, narrow grout joints. As a result, they can actually make your surface look bigger, especially if used in light or reflective colours and are perfect for creating a sleek, contemporary look in your bathroom.

Geometric Shaped

In keeping with interior design and fashion trends, tiles are taking on crisp geometric forms and lively patterns. From brazen optical art patterns that play tricks on the eye to more traditional forms that take their cue from the Victorian era, they’re the perfect way to create an amazing visual feature in your bathroom.

The trick is to try and not use too many combinations of colour and make sure you consult the Rivoland staff to ensure that the shape does not get you into trouble either!

Eclectic patterns

Anything goes with this design trend—just pick a handful of your favourite patterned and solid tiles to create an interesting backdrop to your bathroom. We’ve seen clients cleverly combine stripes, solids and florals for an amazing feature effect. The key to successfully implementing this look is to ensure that your colour scheme is consistent. Luckily most tile ranges do all the hard work for you by producing a series of tiles that work beautifully when combined together.
