Many furniture stores have interior designers who create their room sets. They know how to lay a room out with little touches that tie it all together. This way you can get an idea of the great array of products and see what is within your budget. And don’t limit yourself to new stores. Try browsing through antique stores or galleries to get some inspiration.

From Pinterest to Houzz—there are some fantastic apps that allow you to see how people are using unconventional materials in very clever ways that are achievable, affordable and attractive. But be warned—these apps are highly addictive!
