Magazines

Home magazines have stunning pictures and fantastic concepts that can be a great source of inspiration. Depending on what magazines you look at however, keep in mind that many of the beautiful high end homes that you see, will probably have just as beautiful and high-end budgets too.

Your own things

Do you have a few aesthetic items in your current house that make a statement? What do you love about them? Design? Colour? Pattern? Texture? This is a great place to start.

Display villages

Our display homes provide you with an opportunity to visualise how ideas, different materials and floorplans can come to life by being able to touch, play and interact within an actual space.

Window Shopping

Visit a range of shops to find inspiration. From tiles and doors, to soft furnishings, you can get an idea of what you do (and don’t) like. Many furniture stores have interior designers who create their room sets. They know how to lay a room out with little touches that tie it all together. This way you can get an idea of the great array of products and see what is within your budget. And don’t limit yourself to new stores. Try browsing through antique stores or galleries to get some inspiration.

Websites and Apps

From Pinterest to Houzz—there are some fantastic apps that allow you to see how people are using unconventional materials in very clever ways that are achievable, affordable and attractive. But be warned—these apps are highly addictive!
